When you are charged
Your card is authorized the moment you place the order and captured when the order is accepted for fulfillment. If we cannot fulfill an order — the piece is unavailable, or the address falls outside the 48 contiguous states — we cancel and refund it in full before it ships.
Authorization holds
If your card is declined, your bank may still place a temporary authorization hold for the order amount. That is not a charge and no money has left your account. Holds usually clear on their own within 3-5 business days, sooner with some issuers. If you tried checkout several times, you may see several holds; they all clear the same way.
What appears on your statement
Card charges appear as MEOWPAMPER.COM. PayPal payments appear under your PayPal activity as Meowpamper.
If you see a charge you do not recognize, check that descriptor before you call your bank. A name you do not recognize is the number one cause of chargebacks against small online retailers, and one email to support@meowpamper.com is faster than a dispute for everyone involved.
Sales tax
We do not add a separate sales tax line at checkout at this time. The price shown on the product page is the total for the goods, and shipping is added separately according to our Shipping Policy. If this changes, we will update this page and the change will appear at checkout before you pay — never after.
Import duties
Import duties and taxes are prepaid by us. You owe nothing on delivery. If a courier asks you for money to release a Meowpamper parcel, do not pay it — forward the request to us instead.
International transaction fees
Some card issuers charge a foreign transaction fee, typically around 3%, when a purchase is processed through an acquirer outside your own country. If your issuer applies one, it appears as a separate line on your statement. That fee is set and collected by your bank, not by us, and we never see it. Most U.S. cards marketed as "no foreign transaction fee" do not charge it at all.
Payment security
We do not store or have access to your full card number. Card details are entered directly into our third-party payment providers, which maintain PCI DSS compliance, and the connection is encrypted using HTTPS with TLS. What we can see is the last four digits, the card brand and the billing name — the same information printed on a receipt.
Pricing errors
We check our prices, and occasionally one is still wrong. If an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price — a decimal place in the wrong spot, a $180 ring listed at $1.80 — we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfill it. We will email you before doing anything. We will not quietly charge you a higher price than the one you agreed to.
Chargebacks
If something is wrong with your order, email us first. We answer within 24 business hours and we can usually fix it the same day. A chargeback takes your bank 30-90 days to resolve and costs us a fee whether or not it succeeds, which is why we would rather just solve the problem.
Nothing here limits your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer. It is your right and we are not asking you to give it up — only to give us a chance first.
